Through a combination of class and lab, you will be provided advanced automotive technical training, which is combined with a strong academic foundation in math, electronics, and analytical skills. Upon graduation, you will be prepared to take the ASE exams and enter the industry as a mid-level automotive technician in dealerships and repair centers.
During cooperative education in a GM dealership, you will receive an hourly wage and are assigned to an experienced technician who guides and supervises your training. That means you earn while you learn.
While I was an automobile technician, my desire to help people figure out the most complicated problems and share my knowledge with others became more important than a successful career at the dealership. Through advice from my peers and others, teaching was really where I needed to be. The opportunity of a lifetime to teach at WCC became available 18 years ago, and as they say, "the rest is history". While the clientele has changed as much as the vehicle itself, my love and passion for seeing a student start in the program and mature into a full-fledged technician drives me every day I come to work.
We'd love to hear from you!
